The 150-bed Rockpool facility – located one hour north of Brisbane – will employ more than 150 staff when completed, said Rockpool chairman Bill Summers.

The centre will also be highly family-focussed, with each room to include a kitchenette to allow residents to host their visiting loved ones in a private ‘entertaining’ space.

Construction is expected to be completed in August.
