Australian Unity open new home care branch in northern NSW

Australia's first member-owned wellbeing company, Australian Unity, has opened a new home care branch in Tweed Heads in NSW’s Far North Coast.

Australian Unity’s CEO for Independent and Assisted Living, Kevin McCoy (pictured above), said that the company is excited to be expanding its operations in a region where there is an increasing demand for in home aged care services.

“This new branch has been two years in the making and we believe we have found the best location for our growing team to support more customers,” Mr McCoy said.

“The Tweed Heads branch will provide services to 1,800 older Australians from the southern Gold Coast to Byron Bay and this number is expected to grow rapidly.”

Australian Unity’s Home Care Services, including Aboriginal Home Care, provide a wide array of in-home services, including domestic assistance, personal care, allied health services, transport, in-home nursing and respite, shopping and meal preparation. The business operates throughout NSW and Victoria.

Australian Unity provides home care services to over 37,000 customers across metropolitan and regional NSW, as well as Victoria and the southern parts of Queensland. It employs more than 4,000 branch and home care staff. Its business is growing as the demand for in home services continue.
