John Martin, CEO of BBC, alerted the audience at the RVA National Conference to a possible challenge by the Property Council (representing the property development industry) to the RVAs leadership, particularly in relations with government and housing of retirees. He stated the Property Council had the cash and resources to make government listen, without the restrictions of the Retirement Village Act. He encouraged the RVA to be more energetic in its representations or be left behind.
