BaptistCare gets green light for $39M affordable seniors’ housing development in western Sydney

The Not For Profit has received planning approval to build 122 units – 70% for seniors – opposite its Angus Bristow Village, in Elderslie, 63km southeast of the CBD, through the NSW Government’s Social and Affordable Housing Fund.

The other homes are designated for low-income single parent families, with plans for a concept-approved 138-bed aged care facility too.

Residents will also have on-site access to BaptistCare’s support services including in-home care and a social club for respite care.

BaptistCare’s General Manager, Housing & Retirement Living Mike Furner tells us that they have six similar projects in partnership with the NSW Government in the pipeline for Goulburn, Newcastle, Five Dock, Point Clare, Springwood and Lismore.

The Not For Profit currently has nine retirement villages and 17 aged care facilities across NSW as well as around 9,000 home care clients.
