Canberra residents’ group plans to fight Shane Moran aged care development

Another medium-rise project is now facing opposition from locals. The Deakin Residents Association is preparing to file a submission against the four to five-storey, 102-bed Provectus Care aged care facility planned for Deakin, saying the facility will add to the “traffic chaos” in the area.

Vice-President John Bell said the development would worsen traffic and parking issues and was inappropriate for the site, with any balconies facing one street virtually unusable because of noise and air pollution.
