‘Eco’ retirement village planned for Gold Coast – Urbis predicts $952M in village and aged care development in next decade

Scope Planning developer Lawrence Jetson wants to build 24 homes on 4.76ha near the Country Paradise Parklands in Nerang. If approved, the homes would be made from 40% recycled building materials and feature “neutral architecture”, vegetable gardens, and solar power and water-saving technology.

It's one of 12 retirement and aged care applications that have been submitted for the region in the last year including Aura’s 11-storey The Pavilion village at North Kirra; Japara’s $30 million, 105-bed aged care facility at Robina; the Gold Coast Jewish Foundation’s 130-bed facility at Arundel; and Regis’ 11-storey, 177-bed aged care facility at Palm Beach.
