Estia nears completion of 105-bed south Sydney facility ahead of February opening

The listed provider is close to completion of its latest $34 million five-storey aged care facility in Blakehurst, 20km south of the Sydney CBD.

Estia had originally operated a 42-bed home at the site, but this was demolished in 2018 to make way for the new 105-bed facility which is due to open its doors in February 2021.

Georges River Council Mayor Kevin Greene (pictured above centre) said the provider had done a “magnificent job” in the redevelopment of the facility during a tour of the site.

“I’m sure there will be people that come from all over Sydney to enjoy the opportunity presented in this integrated site,” he added.

Estia has two homes nearby in Kogarah and Bexley.
