Exploding truck evacuates retirement village. Granny also crashes through village chapel

30 residents were evacuated from the Farnorha retirement village in Cairns when a truck carrying chemicals caught fire. Residents were allowed to return when air samples were confirmed to be clear. Meanwhile in Melbourne a 90-year-old resident and her friend ploughed their car through the front glass doors of the Baxter village chapel, narrowly missing two chaplains.
