Gov updates temporary funding increase for residential and home care providers

The Federal Government has updated the residential and home care subsidies and supplements to support additional costs and workforce supply pressure from COVID-19.

The new rates came into effect on 1 September 2020.

This result is a 30 per cent increase to the viability supplement in residential and home care and a 30 per cent increase in the residential care homeless supplement.

These payments, which were due to cease 31 August 2020, will be extended for a further six months.

Providers should note the schedule from 1 September 2020 does not reflect the announcement of the continuation of the increase supplements has it has not yet been legislated.
