Living Choice has had approval granted for a 189 unit retirement village in the Adelaide suburb of Fullarton. The Julia Farr building is being demolished to make way for Living Choices new village which will also offer residents 24-hour on-site care, emergency response buttons and medical rooms for visiting practitioners. Living Choice is hoping to get construction underway within 12 months.
Shared Care in villages: Canberra cracks the door open
A major step forward for the Shared Care model. The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing will convene online workshops with Support at Home providers to help design a pooled funding trial, slated for 2026, backed by $5.2 million in funding over three years announced by the Federal Government in December 2024.
