Andrew Constance, the Liberal minister in New South Wales responsible for ageing accommodation stated that when he became minister there was no strategy for ageing. He says the primary need is to move towards consumer choice and control; he described this as a fundamental human right. He predicted that in the key strategies coming forward there will be an emphasis on tech savvy seniors who will assert their rights, which government will support.
