New aged care peak appoints Victorian Health Association boss as new CEO

The Aged and Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA), the new peak body for the aged care sector, has appointed Tom Symondson, CEO of the Victorian Healthcare Association (pictured), as its first Chief Executive Officer.

Tom has been head of the VHA since 2015, before which he served as its Director of Policy and Strategy for two years; he also sits on the board of Aware Super and serves on the Victorian Ministerial Advisory Committee for Mental Health, the Victorian Quality and Safety Council, and the Public Sector Residential Aged Care Expert Advisory Group.

“I’m delighted to have been appointed as the CEO of ACCPA as it commences its work representing and supporting Australia’s diverse aged care sector,” he said.
