New aged care provider Aspire applies for 132 bed planning approval in Ipswich

Aspire Aged Care has lodged the planning application with Ipswich City Council for a two-storey 132 unit development covering over 11,000 square metres in Silkstone.
The plans for the vacant block were designed by Wilson Architects and show six buildings with one bedroom and studio units.
Ipswich has three care existing facilities and serves a regional population of 180,000.

Breaking news: Government delays new Aged Care Act

Minister for Health and Ageing Mark Butler and Minister for Aged Care and Seniors Sam Rae announced this morning that commencement of the new Aged Care Act on 1 July 2025 will be delayed four months until 1 November 2025.
