Regis CEO Ross Johnston announces his departure

After 11 years of guiding Regis to a group with 7,150 aged care beds and being the driving force behind the establishment of the Aged Care Guild, Ross Johnston will step down as CEO on 3 September.

Over the journey, Johnston (with the Regis founders Bryan Dorman and Ian Roberts) got into bed with Macquarie Bank as investors and then out again before floating in 2014, with Dorman and Roberts the major beneficiaries – they are now rank around the 140th richest people in Australia at $550 million each. Johnston has a reasonable shareholding as well.

They established Regis in 1992.
