Jones Lang LaSalle this week was awarded the 2008 Kemp Strang Property Industry Award for
its retirement village database, which has been developed over the last year 12 months. The
database was developed in-house. The main finding from the database which incorporated
information from 1,721 villages was that the industry remains a fragmented one; there are
600 owners throughout Australia and 71 percent of them only operate one village. (Note:
