Stockland proposes $57M 283-unit eight-storey retirement village next to Melbourne shopping centre

Our third-largest village operator has lodged plans for four five-storey buildings plus a resident clubhouse and health and wellbeing services next to its Pines Shopping Centre in Doncaster East, 22km northeast of the CBD.

The Pines Retirement Village will also include three storeys of car parking for residents and shoppers, plus upgrades to the bus interchange and more public spaces for the community.

“We have been talking for some time with existing retailers, customers and the wider community to ensure this design has the potential to not only create a well-connected village but also enhance our customer experience at the existing shopping centre,” Stockland retirement living regional manager Paul Keleher told the Herald Sun.

Stockland has 65 retirement villages and more than 12,000 residents across Australia.
