Sundale Nambour plans for the future with $250M 10-year redevelopment in regional QLD

The community Not For Profit plans to completely replace facilities at its 54-year-old village and aged care campus in Nambour, 101km north of Brisbane, a long-term program set to inject $1.5B into the town.

The project – designed by architecture firm ThomsonAdsett – includes the construction of a 74-unit village and care campus open to the public.

Sundale CEO Glenn Bunney revealed the plans at the provider’s recent AGM, saying the 30% building footprint was made possible by increasing heights and create almost nine hectares of open space.

The facilities will also provide affordable apartments for people at risk of homelessness and accommodation for women escaping domestic violence.

Sundale was established in Nambour in 1963 and has since expanded to 10 facilities on the Sunshine Coast.
