WA: Five Carinya of Bicton aged care staff locked out over wage dispute

For the second time this year, Carinya has locked out staff, originally for seven days but cut back to four by a Fair Work Australia, who deem the lockout illegal. This follows a nine month dispute led by the staff representative, Union Voice. The highest level of Carinya staff are reported to earn $20.77 per hour while the lowest level staff at nearby Amana Living earn $20.19.
