For the second time this year, Carinya has locked out staff, originally for seven days but cut back to four by a Fair Work Australia, who deem the lockout illegal. This follows a nine month dispute led by the staff representative, Union Voice. The highest level of Carinya staff are reported to earn $20.77 per hour while the lowest level staff at nearby Amana Living earn $20.19.
