We are pleased to invite you to attend an Information Night & Workshop

The 90 minute presentation has been designed to distill down to simple concepts the
challenges and opportunities that developing a Master Plan for a village communications
infrastructure can create.
Rewiring for digital TV can cost $500 per ILU. Setting up for future communication needs
can add another $500-1000. It’s expensive but it can also be profitable - if done right.
This workshop is ideal for both private and not-for-profit operators that want to reduce
risk, improve services and generate extra income.
This will be a hands on workshop. Samples of wiring plans will be presented with costings
plus all options canvassed, with recommendations.
From the presentations and discussion an Advisory Panel of village operations
professionals will be announced who over the next three months will guide the
development of a Master Plan for villages that will be made available to the industry.
The Master Plan will allow for staged development of the communications infrastructure,
allowing operators to ‘bolt on’ new services as they desire them (such as telephony). It is
envisaged the standardized platform will provide freedom of suppliers while maintaining
continuity of specifications over time.
Venue: KPMG offices
Corner Sussex & Shelley Streets
Kings Street Wharf (Sydney)
Time: 5.30pm start
Duration: 90 minutes followed by light food and refreshments

Lachlan Wolfers Tax Partner, KPMG
Lachlan will review the substantial GST benefits that can be gained from correctly planning
construction and professional services expenditure in retirement villages. In addition he
will detail how unbundling traditional accommodation services, such as telephony and
electricity, can substantially contribute to the GST rebates for private villages.
