Pariter’s retirement living vision for Cumberland Golf Club in Sydney revealed

1 min read

With its NSW Department of Planning and Environment State Significant Development (over $3 million) at the Exhibition stage, the retirement living development at Cumberland Country Golf Club in Greystanes, 25km west of Sydney’s CBD, will feature approximately 231 seniors independent living dwellings and a 38-bed residential aged care facility. The architect is Marchese Partners I Life3A.

Led by CEO John Innes, Pariter is a long-term investor which specialises in the development and operation of community infrastructure

The plans show a four-lot subdivision, three-story clubhouse, six buildings of five to seven storeys, a three-storey care facility, cafe, consulting rooms and wellness spaces.

The ageing club facilities were in need of significant investment, according to the Ethos Urban planning report. The Cumberland Golf Club opened in 1935, while the existing club facilities were built in the 1960s. The club has about 2600 members.

The Weekly SOURCE reported in June 2023 that Pariter had signed a development agreement with the golf club.

It is the third partnership with clubs. Pariter announced in May 2023 an agreement with Mingara Leisure Group to co-develop a new retirement living precinct adjacent to the Mingara Recreation Club in Tumbi Umbi on the NSW Central Coast. It is also a partner in the Watermark Residences at Newgreens Chatswood, 10km north of Sydney’s CBD.
