Proposed retirement village to include two-bed care hub
The 48 apartments would include eight two-bedroom, 10 two-bedroom plus study, 20 three-bedroom, six three-bedroom plus study and four four-bedroom units.
Three existing homes in a Cammeray street, 5km north of Sydney’s CBD, will be demolished under plans for a new retirement village featuring independent living apartments and a small on-site aged care hub.
Architect CHORFI, on behalf of Perifa Rosalind Development, has lodged a State Significant Development Application for two new buildings of five and six storeys, comprising 48 independent living units and a two-bed residential care ‘care hub’, plus a neighbourhood shop, basement parking and landscaping.

The 48 apartments would include eight two-bedroom, 10 two-bedroom plus study, 20 three-bedroom, six three-bedroom plus study and four four-bedroom units.
The proposal also includes two basement levels providing 104 residential car spaces, 1,023m² of communal open space and upgrades to local utility infrastructure.
The care hub is planned for the lower ground floor and will feature a gym, cinema, pool, sauna, multipurpose room and a room for allied health services.
There will be two residential care beds within the specialised care hub, providing palliative and end-of-life care in a supervised environment, as well as support for residents living with dementia.
Discussions are underway between the applicant and an experienced care operator to finalise the services to be offered through the care hub.
