Robyn Batten has been appointed Executive Director of Blue Care, Queensland's not for profit community health and residential aged care provider. Ms Batten will take the helm of Blue Care from February 1, 2011. UnitingCare Queensland conducted an external search for a new Executive Director to fill the role, left vacant by the departure of Stephen Muggleton last year. Ms Batten has been Acting Executive Director of Blue Care since 2 November and has extensive experience in health and aged care and comes from a background in health administration.

Australian Senate votes for two separate inquiries into aged care reform
The Senate has voted to establish two new Senate inquiries into the Government’s historic aged care reforms, rollout out on the weekend after years of preparation, amid concerns they will not deliver for older Australians.
