It is claimed that over the last 12 months 3,915 hours of labour have been provided by prison inmates to the Toowoomba aged care facility operated by Ozlodges. Police Minister Jack Dempsey says they encourage offenders to use community work as a preparation for release. They also did volunteer work for the Flying Doctor service.
