$26M retirement village plan lodged for Coffs Harbour, NSW North Coast

1 min read

A seven-storey building with 25 two-bedroom independent living units is proposed for the former Dolphin Sands Holiday Houses single-storey tourist accommodation in the city, 540km north of Sydney and 390km south of Brisbane.

Williams Planning and Property Services had lodged the $26 million seniors’ housing plan, stating the units would be designed to encourage “ageing in place” yet cater for seniors who need “minimal living assistance” day-to-day.

The development would also feature a communal gym, pool, and terraces with seating on the first floor. There would be 32 parking spaces.

The coastal city has a number of retirement living facilities including Aveo's Jacaranda Gardens Retirement Village, Fresh Hope Communities’ Dalpura Retirement Community, and Oak Tree Retirement Villages Coffs Harbour.
