Maronite Sisters’ planned $38M redevelopment of its aged care home in Marrickville, Sydney, on public exhibition

1 min read

The Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family Village plan to demolish their existing 54-bed aged care home, so-called Village 1, and build a new 99-room, four-storey facility with underground car parking.

During preparation of the State Significant Development application (for projects over $30 million) for the redevelopment of a 1997-built facility in Marrickville, 7km southwest of Sydney’s CBD, the decision was made not to proceed with plans to refurbish two additional properties – Village 2 and 46 Pine Street – which had been earmarked for ancillary seniors living administration and additional residential aged care capacity.

The $38.4 million development on 4,822msq of land, with architecture by Jackson Teece, is on public exhibition until 21 May 2025. More information is available here.
