The ASX-listed provider will build a new 123-bed aged care home after demolishing its existing facility on Brisbane Street in Bulimba, a leafy riverside suburb in Brisbane’s inner-city.

Brisbane City Council has approved Regis Aged Care’s plan for 123 rooms across a four-storey building with 46 car park spaces.

The home will also feature:

  • Dedicated memory support unit;
  • Dining room;
  • Hairdresser;
  • Spa;
  • Café/library;
  • Cinema; and
  • Activity rooms.

Regis’ application states the design by O’Neill Architecture provides more open space, trees, and landscaping to enhance the streetscapes.

The plans were first lodged on 6 May 2025, and underwent various amendments before being approved on 17 December last year.

The application included the services of:

  • O’Neill Architecture;
  • Northrop Consulting Engineers; and
  • RPS AAP Consulting Pty Ltd.

The home is expected to reopen for new residents in 2027.
