Melbourne-based nursing home/retirement village investor Allan Myers, QC, and his wife
Maria, have donated an impressive $6 million to the National Gallery of Victoria. Its the
gallerys second biggest cash donation ever and will go towards a new fund for buying Asian
art. Myers, once dubbed Australias richest lawyer, is a long-time gallery supporter and has
been the president of its trustees since 2004.
