Scalabrini rebrands for the future
“Our move to Scalabrini Communities signals our belief that older adults deserve more than services. They deserve connection, purpose and places where they feel valued.”
The For Purpose, faith-based operator serving ageing migrants has unveiled a new name and direction.
Scalabrini Village, founded in 1968, will now be known as Scalabrini Communities, reflecting a future where care is defined by connection, belonging and the everyday lives of older adults, said the organisation.
“Belonging is central to a good life at any age. Our move to Scalabrini Communities signals our belief that older adults deserve more than services. They deserve connection, purpose and places where they feel valued,” said Chief Executive Officer Richard de Haast.
“Whether someone lives in one of our homes, receives help through Live Easy by Scalabrini or takes part in a Live Easy Social gathering, they are part of something bigger. They are part of our community.”
Scalabrini provides aged care, retirement living, palliative care, dementia care, and chronic and complex care.
Chairman Rob Freeman said the new name honours Scalabrini’s history while opening the door to a more expansive future.
“Scalabrini was founded to serve migrant communities and to stand beside people when they needed support the most. That mission has not changed. What has changed is the way we bring it to life. Scalabrini Communities reflects our belief that ageing is richer and more meaningful when it is shared. This name sets a clear foundation for our future and the communities we will continue to build.”
The transition to Scalabrini Communities begins today and will roll out across all services over the coming months.
