Roshana Care Group acquires closed aged care home in regional NSW

Perth-based aged care operator Roshana Care Group will reopen Rosedurnate Aged Care, in Parkes, a town 355km west of Sydney, which The Salvation Army closed in 2024. The 70-bed home will be refurbished before reopening in the first quarter of 2026. Parkes Mayor Neil Westcott said “wonderful news”.

Seven of 10 aged care homes do not offer Voluntary Assisted Dying information: Go Gentle Australia

A survey by Go Gentle, the Not For Profit advocate for end-of-life choices founded by broadcaster Andrew Denton, has determined that 85% of aged care providers do not offer Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) or information about the option, despite VAD being legalised in every state.
