A reminder that it is the younger generations that we must worry about as restrictions ease.

The same is happening overseas.

Below is a shot from the United States, where Americans celebrated Memorial Day weekend – considered to be the start of summer there – by flocking to the beach.

With around 1.68 million confirmed cases and over 98,000 deaths, the US faces a far larger problem than Australia – but the message is the same.

Younger people are relaxing the rules – and that could spell serious trouble for our community transmission rate.
