Stockland and Mirvac hit by Porter Davis Homes and other builders going into liquidation

It is believed around 70 homes for Mirvac, 130 homes for Lendlease and 200 homes for Stockland were being built by Porter Davis Homes in VIC and QLD.

The numbers of homes left unbuilt are relatively small and Stockland, Lendlease and Mirvac will guarantee the work. Retirement by Lendlease is understood to be still working through alternative contractors to deliver the outstanding work left by PBS’ liquidation last month.

RetireAustralia acquired by Invesco Real Estate for $845M

The global real estate investment management business, which has over US$80 billion in real estate assets under management, has forked out $845 million for the Brisbane-based retirement village operator.

Hospital ramping has reached a record high in Western Australia, leading the state’s Premier Roger Cook to lay the blame squarely at the feet of the Federal Government. Data showing ambulances were ramped for a record 7,009 hours outside Western Australian hospitals in July prompted questions to Premier Cook about the treatment of an 84-year-old man who took a maxi taxi to hospital on 25 July after being told there was a 130-minute wait for an ambulance.
