Summerset sells 365 homes in 90 days
The New Zealand-based operator said total new sales in 1Q 2026 increased 34% compared with Q1 2025, and resales rose 19%.
There were 177 new sales and 188 resales which Summerset Chief Executive Scott Scoullar said reflected continued demand across Summerset’s villages in New Zealand and Melbourne, Australia.
“We’re pleased with the momentum we saw through the quarter, and we’re carrying a solid pipeline of sales into Q2,” Scott said.
Summerset has also opened a Community Centre at Summerset Cranbourne North, 39km southeast of the Melbourne CBD. Construction on the retirement village began in October 2023, with the first residents moving in the following April. The village will host an official opening for the Community Centre on 30 April 2026.

The company remains on track to build a further 650-700 homes across New Zealand and 100-150 in Australia in 2026.

Summerset has four villages in development in Victoria (Cranbourne North, Chirnside Park, Torquay and Oakleigh South) and owns three other proposed sites in Craigieburn, Drysdale and Mernda.
The SOURCE reported in February the operator was also seeking a Planning Permit for a site in Mornington, the seaside suburb 46km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD.
