The Australian owned and operated software platform has signed with the New Zealand-based retirement village provider Summerset to introduce the eCase management system across Summerset’s seven new Victorian continuum of care sites.

Summerset's first village in Australia is being built in Cranbourne North, 39km south-east of Melbourne’s CBD, with work starting in October 2023. The first residents moved in the following April. and now the village’s Community Centre is taking shape.

Summerset has also started work on its second retirement village in Chirnside Park, 38km northeast of Melbourne’s CBD, and has planning permits for villages in Torquay, the seaside town 97km southwest of Melbourne’s CBD, and Oakleigh South, 17km southeast of the state’s capital city. The operator also has sites in Craigieburn, 25km north of Melbourne's CBD, and Drysdale, east of Geelong.

“Summerset’s model of providing a continuum of care through a range of living and care options aligns closely with the capabilities of our eCase platform, which is designed to support home care, retirement living, and residential aged care in a single unified system,” Health Metrics Chief Executive Officer Paul Brindle said.

Summerset Australia chief operating officer Stewart Scott said the provider is confident the eCase platform will deliver the resident management, clinical care, and billing functionality needed to support the delivery of high-quality services.

"With a single system across the enterprise and the flexibility to integrate with our preferred specialist systems, we also anticipate improved efficiency and productivity,” Stewart said.
