Tall Trees: Queensland provider begins second stage

The construction of the second stage of Tall Trees Tanah Merah has got underway and will see an extra 30 units added to the development and is due for completion in mid-2011. Tall Trees Tanah Merah is the second supported living neighbourhood by the Tall Trees group, opening its first in Rochedale in 2005. The company has plans to expand the concept nationally.

66 recipients of Aged Care Capital Assistance Program grants announced

The Australia Government has announced 66 recipients of its Aged Care Capital Assistance Program with grants worth $300 million. The largest - a grant of more than $50 million - has gone to Southern Cross Care (QLD) to build a new 94-bed residential care home in Broken Hill, NSW.
