The Royal Commission also announced it will issue a special report on the COVID-19 pandemic in aged care.
This will come ahead of its Final Report, which is due on 26 February 2021.
The report will contain specific recommendations from the Commissioners to expediate and facilitate the implementation of the measure to protect older Australians.
The report is due to be delivered to the Governor-General on Wednesday, 30 September 2020 and will be available on the Commission’s website after it is tabled in Parliament.
Commissioner Tony Pagone QC had urged the government to implement additional measures to control the spread of the virus in homes last month.
"The virus doesn't wait and nor should the measures that need to be implemented to deal with the virus wait either," he said.
