Hall & Prior CEO Graeme Prior recognised with AM honour

The leader of the growing Perth-based operator has been made a Member of the Order of Australia for his significant services to the aged care sector and Alzheimer's disease research.

Graeme, a chartered accountant, co-founded Hall & Prior in 1994 with a single family-owned aged care home. Today, Hall & Prior has 39 aged care homes with more than 2,500 residents across WA, NSW, and the ACT, and also provides in-home care to more than 1,000 older Australians. 

Since 2020, Graeme has acted as Chair of Alzheimer’s Research Australia Inc and President of the International Federation on Ageing. He is also a member of the World Health Organisation Global Network on Long Term Care.

Graeme has also previously held roles including:

  • Deputy Chair of the Aged Care Workforce Industry Council
  • Former member of the Aged Care Sector Committee with the Commonwealth Department of Health
  • Former Chair of the Council, Aged Care Industry Information Technology Council
  • A Former Member of the Committee to Reform Licencing for Nursing Homes and Private Hospitals
  • A Member of the Aged Care Strategic Advisory Group
  • Former Deputy Chairman of the Commonwealth Cooperative Research Centre for Mental Health.
  • Past President and Board member of Leading Aged Services Australia - Western Australia (LASA).
