It was thought that the turmoil surrounding the 65+ Village Life rental villages would end in 2007 with their acquisition by Queensland village operator Sunny Cove (the SCV Group) after they ran dangerously close to running out of funds. However despite the best efforts of SCV management, Village Life they have not been able to secure the agreement of investor/owners of 18 villages to the transfer to SCV. The owners are insisting that Village Life take back and honour their original operator contracts.
