RDNS SA (Silver Chain) secures contract for SA Govt’s home care services – now servicing 8,000 clients

1 min read

The Not-For-Profit will take over the Government’s Domiciliary Care Services from 30 June 2018 after winning the tender announced in March last year.

Domiciliary Care has around 6,000 clients who will transfer to the new service – 75% of Domiciliary’s 380 staff have also elected to join the operator.

The move follows national changes to the aged care sector and funding arrangements. The NSW Government has already set the example.

They already outsourced their home care services to Australian Unity in 2015 who paid $110 million. It has not been an easy acquisition for them.

RDNS SA has been operating in SA for over 120 years, and also delivers services in WA, QLD, NSW and VIC.
