Ending seven months of heavy local protest against the sale, Monash Council agreed to sell Monash Gardens and Elizabeth Gardens to Royal Freemasons for $21.8M in cash. A petition of 10,000 names plus social media campaigns and the in 1867, operates five high care facilities in Melbourne plus 10 retirement villages.
