Regis settles Oneview lawsuit for $2 million

1 min read

ASX-listed Regis Aged Care has settled a dispute with Irish technology provider Oneview Healthcare after almost one and a half years.

Oneview filed suit against Regis in the Supreme Court of Victoria on 21 December 2020, seeking $21.4 million in damages for an alleged breach of a collaboration agreement between the two companies.

The settlement will instead see Regis pay Oneview $2 million, with no admission of liability from either company.

“The Company is pleased to see the resolution of the matter and is looking forward to focusing on continuing to grow the business in 2022,” said Oneview CEO James Fitter.

The terms of the settlement are confidential, and Regis says it will not materially impact its financial position.

Oneview, which provides patient infotainment systems and similar technologies, was forced to cut staff after a deal with an unnamed Australian provider fell through in February 2020.
