89% of aged care complaints resolved within 30 days: Aged Care Complaints Commissioner

The latest National Quarterly Bulletin released by the Commissioner reveals there were 892 residential care complaints across the country – most from families and representatives, not residents.

Another 282 complaints related to home care.

Overall, 1,183 complaints were received nationally with 1,139 resolved without further action, leaving just 44 that needed further attention – proving complaints are being dealt with quickly and rarely require a follow-up.
