Kelly Bayer Rosmarin, who resigned as Optus Chief Executive in 2023 after the telco was hit by a cyberattack and a nationwide outage, will work alongside outgoing MD & CEO Rohan Mead from 5 November 2025, taking up the top job on 15 December 2025.

Mead announced his retirement earlier this year after 21 years with the ASX-listed mutual, Australia's largest home care provider with nearly 2,500 Home Care Package clients.

Under his tenure, Australian Unity grew from a relatively modest organisation with revenue of $400 millioninto a diversified health, wealth and care giant with revenue of $2.3 billion.

Kelly has an engineering degree from Stanford University and was formerly a management consultant at Boston Consulting. She is currently Director of publicly listed digital property advertising firm REA Group and strategic advisor to digital payments company Airwallex. Until 2023 she was CEO of Singtel-owned Optus. The Australian Communications and Media Authority's investigation of the 2023 failure led to a $12 million fine and cost tKelly Bayer Rosmarin her job.
