Government funding helps Anglican Care Gloucester development

1 min read

The $20M Gloucester Aged Care project has been made possible by an $8M Australian Government funding grant announced in 2018.

The Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) grant is an initiative to drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities.

Gloucester, on the mid-north coast of NSW is recognised as having one of the highest proportions of people over the age of 65 in the state, with 28.4% compared to the state overage of 15.7%.

The only residential aged care currently in the Gloucester area is delivered from relatively older buildings within Gloucester Hospital.

The new development will provide significant economic stimulus to the Gloucester region using local trades, resources and skills.

The second stage of the Gloucester development, which features retirement living villas and a community centre will follow later.
