Ken Wyatt opens public consultation on new draft Charter of Aged Care Rights – both providers and consumers to sign

1 min read

A reminder that aged care is a two-way street. The Minister for Senior Australians and Aged Care says he expects that both the aged care provider and the person entering their program will sign the single charter which is due to start from 1 July 2019.

It will replace the existing four charters, making consumers’ rights clearer, regardless of the subsidised care type, and cutting down compliance obligations for providers delivering different types of care according to the Minister.

You can take part in the consultation HERE until 10 October 2018.
