One in 10 jobs to be for personal care workers in the next five years: government data

We will need 90,600 extra personal carers and assistants by May 2022, a 33% increase from 280,100 to 370,800 workers according to the latest data from the Department of Jobs and Small Business.

It’s also the job tipped to have the most vacancies.

A worrying forecast for a sector already struggling to attract workers.
