Rachel Argaman will start in the top job on 6 August 2018 after heading up TFE Hotels (previously Toga Hospitality) since 2007. TFE is an Australian hotel and hospitality management company – covering brands like Adina Apartment Hotels, Medina Serviced Apartments, Rendezvous Hotels and Travelodge Hotels – with more than 3,000 employees and nearly 100 hotels across five countries.
Opal’s board says it considers Ms Argaman’s strong hospitality and accommodation sector experience strategic as they look to balance the demand for high clinical care standards with creating a more home-like environment.
Opal is one of our largest for-profits with 72 aged care facilities and has a $900 million development pipeline. Ms Argaman takes over from previous CEO Gary Barnier who resigned in November last year.
