1 min read

The end is in sight.

The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety has announced it will hold its final hearing to hear submissions from Counsel Assisting on Thursday, 22 October and Friday, 23 October 2020.

At the hearing, Senior Counsel Assisting, Peter Gray QC and Peter Rozen QC, will both present submissions on behalf of the Counsel Assisting team over the two days.

These recommendations will relate to all aspects of the Commission’s work, expect for long-term financing options as a process of consultation on financing options is still progress.

“Counsel will not repeat the submissions they made on workforce on 26 February 2020 and on program redesign on 4 March 2020, but will address workforce and program design topics that were not covered in those submissions,” the statement says.

Interested parties will also be able to make written submissions in response to Counsel Assisting’s final submissions with a deadline set for 12 November 2020.
