A trio of Heritage Care RAC homes in Melbourne, Sydney and Queanbeyan are up for sale, with private investors reportedly already interested.
The three homes – Heritage Gardens at Bayswater North in Melbourne’s outer east, Heritage Illawong in Sydney’s south, and Heritage Queanbeyan (above) near the ACT – are being sold by Savills and Amicum, and could go together for around $40 million.
Heritage Gardens alone – the largest of the three sites – could fetch $18-20 million, according to Julian Heatherich (pictured), Director, CBD and Metropolitan Sales (VIC) at Savills.
“Bayswater North is a particularly good facility with single ensuites, which is what you’d expect from a current aged care facility,” he told the Herald Sun.
“It has quite a good layout and is very good from an operations perspective.”
Heritage Care would continue to operate the homes, with Heritage Gardens still under a 15-year lease to the independently-owned provider; Heritage recently opened a home at Northcote, near the Melbourne CBD.
