Three South Sydney care sites, including two aged care homes, sold to local investor

Three South Sydney care facilities, including two vacant purpose-built aged care homes, have been sold for $11.2 million to a private investor, according to a report in Australian Property Journal.

The third property is Griffin House, a purpose-built home to accommodate NDIS participants, which sits adjacent to one of the vacant aged care facilities on a single title in Bexley, 14km southwest of the Sydney CBD.

The Bexley aged care home is three storeys, licensed for 111 beds, and has 65 rooms. The property has recently been renovated and is close to Kogarah train station, local shops and medical services.

The second aged care home is two storeys, has 33 rooms, and is located in Arncliffe, 11km south of the Sydney CBD. It had been converted to be used as a Supported Independent Living Group Home. The property, which is close to Banksia Train Station, bus stops and the local retail village, was built in the 1970s and has DA approval to provide Specialist Disability Accommodation.

Knight Frank’s Mark Litwin and Anthony Pirrottina managed the sale via an expressions of interest campaign, acting under instructions from PwC’s Phil Carter and Daniel Walley, who were acting as Receivers and Managers.
