Yvonne Timson has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Community Vision Australia (CVA), effective 1 March 2023.

Not For Profit CVA helps Western Australians of all ages and abilities through home care, disability and family day care service programs. It was established in 2001 and today employs more than 180 staff and services more than 1,000 customers.

Current Chief Executive Officer, Michelle Jenkins, is leaving to pursue her own business but will support the transition to a new CEO until June 2023.

CVA Chair Phillip Thomas said, “Yvonne has been with Community Vision since July 2017 and is a very capable and proficient leader who always seeks continuous growth.

“We feel privileged and honoured to welcome her to her new role, leading the way for us as we continue to facilitate our customers to live life their way.”

Yvonne is an Associate member of the Governance Institute of Australia and believes that good corporate governance is the foundation of any successful organisation.

Her previous experience in various sectors will see her continue to share this wealth of knowledge to create a stronger and more connected community within Community Vision.

Yvonne said, “My main goal for Community Vision is to continue to work towards a more inclusive community where people can live independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

“I truly believe that age, disability, or diagnosis should never be a barrier to living your best life. I am incredibly committed to this organisation and I am heading into this role with passion, accountability, and enthusiasm.”
